REVEREND SAMUEL MUKHWANA SHIKANDA

It is with deep grief and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of our papa Reverend Samuel Mukhwana Shikanda at a Kisumu Hospital on 19/08/2020. He hailed from Matioli sub-location, Butsotso south location. Kakamega county.

Rev. Samuel was the first born of the late Pastor Javan Shikanda and late Jane Amunga. He was father to Priscilla Achayo (USA), Dr. Renson Oyamo Mukhwana (Getrudes hosp), Potycarp Amakobe (Chloride Exide), Bilha Achando (Kisii), Martha Jane Amukhobe (Kitale), Joy Awinja (Sigalagala) and Rev. Mark Esaranda (Bukura KAG). Father-In-law to Renson Muyodi, Alice Oyamo, Fatuma Amakobe, the late Benjamin Okeyo, Hudson Omega, Steve Lusinde and Ann Esaranda.

Brother to Fani Wako, Marjory Masika, late Hezekiah Odhiambo, late Dr. Geoffrey Ingari, Jonathan Omukala and Onesmus Oyondi. Cousin to the Liboyi Nganyi family and the wider Akoolo dynasty of Eshirali/ Mundeku among others. He was brother in-law to the Omuruli family of Ekatsombelo / Emusutswi, Bunyore East. Brother in-law to the late Jacob Wako (Bukhayo) and Nelson Masika (Mwibale). Rev. Samuel leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 5 great grand children.

Cortege leaves Port Florence Hospital mortuary for burial on Friday 28th August 2020 at his residence in Enyakwaka Village, Butsotso south location.
