RICHARD GIDEON MWEKA MUNYAO

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the passing to glory of Richard Gideon Mweka Munyao of Maanzoni village, Mitaboni Sub-district, Machakos County which occurred on 9th October 2020.

He was the beloved husband of Susan Ngina Munyao. Son of the Late Mr Joseph Munyao and the Late Elizabeth Munyao. Beloved father of Pauline Ngao (Makueni), Michael Munyao (Electrogen Tech. Intl Ltd), Anastasia Munyao (Central Bank Headquarters), Rosemary Mwaura (Eldoret Township School), Lilian Munyao (Nairobi) and Margaret Kosgei (Director, Redstar Security). Son-in-law of the Late Lazarus Kituku and the Late Loisa Syokau of Mbili, Kangundo. Brother of the Late Mumbua Mwali, Esther Nduku, the Late Rebecca Nthamba, the Late Joseph Kitavi, the Late Samuel Munyao, Ndunge Sammy, the late Redempta Wayua. Father in-law of Joseph Kenyatta, Evelyn Munyao, Joseph Mwaura, the Late Wilfer Wambua and Johana Kipchumba Kosgei. Doting grandfather of Kennedy, Jane, the Late Lawrence, Richie, Phil and Ngina. Righa, Susan, Tamara, Steve, Richie, Annabel, Susan, Richie and Dennis. Kevin, Nicolas and Prince. Great grandfather of eight.

Friends and family are meeting daily in the evening from 5:30pm at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi and at his home in Mitaboni for funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Lee funeral home, Nairobi on Thursday October 15th October 2020 at 8:00am and service will be held at St. Severin Catholic Church, Mitaboni at 10.00am.
