Death has occurred of Roz Wairimu Kyana of Gatiko village, Nyeri County. Former teacher of St Mary’ School and Nairobi Primary School and a former Vice Chair of the Kenya Squash Association.

Daughter of the late Patrick Kiana and the late Alice Gathoni. Niece of the late Stephen Miricho and others. Sister of the late Humphrey Munene, Purity Nyaguthii, Jeniffer Wachu, Ephraim Wang’ombe, lrene Wanjiru and Mercy Wangui. Step sister of the late James Munene. Sister in law of Esther Wanjiku, Martin Ngatia, Anne Wangombe and Esther Nyaruai. Aunt of Jennifer, Bianca, Alex, Sam, Anne, Patrick, Kevo, Grace, Pauline, John, Eric, Harrison, Emmaline, Nahanson and Job. Step sister, cousin and grandmother to many.

Friends and family members are meeting at her Gatiko home and in Pangani Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Mathari Consolata Hospital Nyeri at 8 am on Saturday, 12 September 2020 for the burial service in her home at Gatiko village in Nyeri County starting at 10 am.
