RT. REV. AMBROSE RAVASI

The Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Marsabit Rt. Rev. Peter Kihara IMC, the clergy and Christians of Marsabit Diocese together with the Consolata Missionaries wish to inform you of the demise of our beloved Rt. Rev. Ambrose Ravasi IMC, Bishop Emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Marsabit.

Bishop Ravasi died October 30, 2020 aged 91. He was the son of the late Nazzareno Ravasi and Maria Stucchi of Bellusco, Italy.

The late Bishop Ambrose Ravasi was a good missionary who has been a pastor to many especially the nomadic communities in the Northern Kenya. He will be remembered for his humility, heroic virtues, apostolic zeal, cheerful character, strong personality and selfless dedication to the less fortunate of the society.

Bishop Ambrose Ravasi IMC, You fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith (2Timothy 4:7). May you rest in peace.

The funeral program is as follows: Wednesday November 4, 2020: 2.00pm Requiem Mass at Consolata Shrine Westlands, Nairobi and there after public viewing of the body at the same venue.

Thursday November 5, 2020: The cortege leaves for Marsabit followed by Vigil Masses at the Cathedral of Our Lady Consolata beginning 2.00pm.

Friday November 6, 2020: 10.00arn Funeral Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady Consolata followed by burial at Maria Mfariji Shrine in Marsabit.
