RTD. EVANGELIST FESTUS NKOROI
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rtd. Evangelist Festus Nkoroi, who was born in 1936 at Kanoo Village, Ndunguri Sub-location, Mugumango Location, Maara Sub-county in Tharaka Nithi County.
Son of the late M’Muga Kithaka and the late Igoji M’Mbui.
Husband to the late Joyce Mugai Festus.
Brother to the late Rael Ukima, the late Robert Ndubi, the late Justus Muchunku, Violet Mugai, Leonard Muruja and Linus Ndiga.
Loving father to Idah Muthoni, Rufus Gitonga (Headteacher Kariakomo Pri Sch), Humphrey Kirimi (Principal Mikumbune Sec. Sch), Dr. Eliud Mutwiri (Deputy Director Gender, State Department of Gender & Affirmative Action), Kellen Njeri (Teacher Chuka Boys High Sch), Dr. Lilian Kathambi (Lecturer Machakos University) and Janice Makena (Teacher Mwerongai Pri Sch).
Father-in-law to Faith Gitonga (Teacher Ndunguri Pri Sch), Florence Kirimi (Deputy Headteacher St. Elizabeth Pri Sch), Mary Kaari Mutwiri (Teacher Chuka Boys High Sch), John Rugendo (Deputy Principal Kambandi Sec Sch), Dr. Samuel Gitonga (Quality Assurance Officer, Nairobi County), Jackson Kimathi (Teacher KaramaAntuamuo Sec. Sch) and the late Japheth Riungu.
He has left behind 16 grandchildren namely; Nkatha, Muthuri, Gaceri, Mukiri, Sharon. Murithi, Munene, Mwiti, Kelvin, Gatugi, Kendi, Gakii, Gatwiri, Gatugi,Mwenda, Musyoka and 2 great-grandchildren, Murimi and Glad.
The cortege will leave PCEA Chogoria Hospital on Friday 17th March, 2023 for a memorial requiem Service at Ndunguri PCEA Church at 10.00am, followed by interment at his Kanjikeru home in Ndunguri Sub-location, Maara Sub-county, Tharaka Nithi County. ..
