RUTH MWIHAKI KURIA (MAMA JOYCE)

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mrs. Ruth Mwihaki Kuria, our beloved mother/grandmother/great grandmother/aunt and a friend to many. She passed on to higher glory on Saturday 6th November 2021.

The daughter of the late Jason Ng’ang’a & the late Julia Njeri Ng’ang’a. Loving wife of the late Mr. Henry Kuria Miring’u. Sister to Peninah Ngubia Njiraini, Titus Gichuru Ng’ang’a, the late Priscillah Wambui Njoroge & Dorcas Wanjiru Gichuhi. Sister-in-law to Shem Njiraini, Lydia Wanjeri Gichuru, Samuel Njoroge Tiba & the late David Gichuhi Waithaka. Mother to Joyce G. Ng’ang’a, David Miring’u, the late Wilfred Ng’ang’a, Nancy Njeri, the late Catherine Wangui & Peninah N. Pettigrew (USA).

Mother-in-law to the late Jackson K. Ng’ang’a, the late Agnes Miring’u, and Benjamin F. Pettigrew Jr. (USA). Grandmother to Nicholas Kamau, Joan Wanjiru, Cynthia Mwihaki, Henry Kuria, Patrick Kuria, Lillian Mwihaki, Nicholas Gatana, Andrew Githinji & Esther Wanjiku, Ian Kuria, Anne Njoroge, Michael Mwangi, the late Edwin Henry Kuria, Carol Kamau, Steve Mwangi, Emily Kuria, Rosemary Mwangi, and Thomas Njoroge. Great grandmother to Nina Gathoni, David Miring’u Jr., Jediel Mutugi, Lilian Njeri (USA), Shirleen Njeri (USIU), Nolani Wanjiru, Shawne Kuria, Ethan Maina, Kenneth Njoroge, Lucy Njeri, Catherine Wanjiku and Elizabeth Wairimu. An Auntie and a friend to many.

Daily prayers are being held at the family residence in Waguthu, Kiambaa from 3:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Friday 12th November, 2021 at the ACK St. Paul’s Church, Waguthu, Kiambaa from 10:00 a.m. followed by the burial at the Kuria residence next to St. Stephen’s Waguthu Catholic Church.

Mama Joyce, you have fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith! May God be with you till we meet again at Jesus’s feet! AMEN!!
