SAMUEL MUTHUA MWANGI (BABA STEVE)

It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of retired teacher Samuel Muthua Mwangi (Baba Steve) after a short illness. He hails from Mairi village, Kangari location of Murang’a County.

Son of the late Francis Mwangi and Lydiah Wanjiru, Step-son of the late Esther Wangari. Husband of Lydiah Wangui (Murang’a County Government). Father of Stephen Mwangi (Farmers Choice), Julius Kimotho (Kenyatta National Hospital – Othaya), Mercy Wanjiru (YMCA, Nairobi) and twins Anne Wangari & Mary Wanjiru (Kenya Water Institute),

Father-in-law of Jane Waithira, Lynette Gathoni and James Mugo. Grandfather of Natasha and Angel Mwangi, Jayden and Leon Kimotho, Prosper and Precious Mugo. Brother of Siphira, the late Benson, late Anne, Muturi, Josphine, MOthoni, Veronica, Beth, Joe, Rose, Beatrice, Laban, Anne, Mwaura, Maina, Ng’ang’a and Ndumbi. Son-in-law of the late Julius Mwangi and Hannah Wangari of Mwarano Village Kangari.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Mairi at 4.00 p.m for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital Funeral Home, on Wednesday, 26/05/2021, at 9.00am followed by a funeral service and burial at his home in Mairi, Kangari Murang’a County,
