It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Sarah Wanini Karanja of Muchatha Village, Kiambaa Sub-County, Kiambu County, formerly of Industrial Development Bank Limited (IDB), which occurred on Sunday 15/08/2021, after a short illness.

Daughter.of the late Peter Kung’u Kimeria and the late Elizabeth Wadri Kung’u of Muchatha Village. Dear wife of Silvester Githua Karanja (Councilor Marigu), formerly of Pan Africa nsurance Company Limited.

Loving mother to Lawrence Karanja Githua, Doris Wangui Githua (Deputy Chief State Counsel Ministry of Interior & Co-ordination of National Government, Nairobi), Leonard Kungu Githua (Director, Joylen Steel and Hardware) and Eva Wanjuhi Kasaine (Dominos Pizza Kenya, Gigiri). Mother-in-law to Joyce Kungu and Samson Kasaine.

Grandmother to Mitchelle, Leon, Maryanne, Shantel and Emmanuel. Sister to Esther Ngugi,

Margaret Njenga, Hannah Wambaa, Jane Kung’u, Loise Wainaina, and the late Joyce Gatheca. Sister-in-law to Penninah Gathoni, the late Harrison Mwangi and the late Margaret Wanjiku.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary, Thika Road, on Tuesday 24/08/2021 9.00am for a funeral service at ACK All Saints Church – Muchatha, from 11.00am and thereafter burial at Lang’ata Cemetery.

COVID-19 protocols will be observed.
