It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Sophia Tapletkoi Tonui.

Daughter of the late Arap Chepkwony and the late Tabutany of Transmara. She was a loving wife to the late Kiprotich Arap Tonui and co-wife to Elizabeth Tapkili Tonui. Sister to the late Tapsabei, Bot Joseph, the late Joseph and the late William.

Mother to Rev. James Ngetich (Nakuru), the late Hellen Rono, Mrs. Christine Chumba (Principal, Kipsigis Girls), Jane Tonui (Kericho), Evans Rotich (Olenguruone), the late Jack Ngetich, Stella Chepngeno (Joyful Women Organization) and Joshua Rotich (Nairobi). Step-mother to Taplelei, the late John, Joseph, the late Mary, Rael, Emily, the late Eunice and the late Josphat.

Mother-in-law to the late Martin, Hellena, the late Juliana, Rachel, Wilson, Philip, the late Susan, Elizabeth, Rev. Paul, Jack (Director Verovian Academy), the late Edward, Nelly and Major (Rtd) Norah. Grandmother and great grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves Valley Hospital Nakuru for Olenguruone on Friday 11/02/2022 for prayers and overnight stay. She will be laid to rest on Saturday 12/02/2022, Kuresoi South, Olenguruone, Kiptaragon Village.
