SR. HELLEN AYIETA OKAALO

With deep sorrow and a humble acceptance of God’s will, we regret to announce the passing of Sr. Hellen Ayieta Okaalo, formerly of Kenya Prisons Service/UNMIL, and most recently of UNMISS – Juba. She peacefully departed this life on Saturday, 27th January 2024, at Agakhan Hospital, Nairobi.

She was the beloved mother of Dr.Audrey Kwamboka and Lincoln Gesicho. Grandmother to Zuriel Lulu.

She was also a cherished mother-in-law to Dennis Mochama.

Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Okaalo, hailing from Emalindi Sub-Location, Kisa South Location, Kakamega County.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Funeral preparations are underway, and meetings are being held daily from 5:30 PM at Cardinal Otunga Towers, Holy Family Basilica.

A fundraising event will be held on Monday, 5th February 2024, at All Saints Cathedral.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place on Wednesday, 7 February 2024, starting at 10:30am at the House of Transformation in Garden Estate.

The interment ceremony will follow on Thursday, 8° February 2024, at her Gategi Farm, Magadi Road, branching at the ACK Road.
