It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the sudden demise of Susan Owoko-Okoto which occurred on the 18/8/21 after a short illness.

Beloved wife of Commissioner Joe Okoto Ajwang’ of Homabay CountyAssembly. Mother to Allan David Okoto and Andrew Owoko Okoto, both of Kenya Prisons Service. Grandmother to Alden Kwame Okoto.

Loving daughter to the late Andrew Owoko Oketch and the late Rosa Apiyo Owoko of Ugenya. Daughter in law to the late David Ajwang’ Nyakwamba, the late Dorcas Ajwang’ and Eucabeth Ajwang’. Sister to Pamela Owiro, Seline Ogallo, Hellen Barclay, Jane Ayoo, Beatrice Ogonda, Tom Owoko, Dr. Joseph Oluoch, Stephen Odhiambo and Lucy Owoko.

Sister in law to the late Senator Otieno Kajwang’, Wilfred Kajwang’, Hon T.J Kajwang’, Timothy Nyakwamba, Hon. Peter Kajwang’, the late Nathan Okwaro, Senator Moses Kajwang’, Clifford Kasera. Dr. Ray Kajwang’.

Her aunties are Jenipher Olego, Miriam iy Ajwang’ and Esther Kajwang’. Nyieka to Dr. Rose, Faith, Roseline, Norah, Yvonne, Venna, Vicky, Gladys, Jacy. Also sister in law to Joash, Wycliffe Ogallo – Commissioner General of prisons, Douglas, the late Henry, Joseph, the late Yvonne, Maureen, the late Toi.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in South C, Akiba Estate, House 251.

Burial will take place on Friday 3rd September 2021 at her home in Waondo, Mbita, Homabay County presided over by Waondo SDA Church.

There will be a requiem mass at St Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, South C on Tuesday 31st August 2021 at 10am.
