WALTER EDWIN OCHIENG MILANYA

12th March 1943 – 3rd October, 2020

It Is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Walter Edwin Ochieng Milanya family announces the passing on to glory of Walter Edwin Ochieng Milanya which occurred on the morning of 3rd October, 2020 after a brave battle with cancer

Beloved husband of Lillian Ruth Ochieng and caring father of Beryl Ochieng, Yvette and Edward Ondachi, Michelle Ochieng and Michael Ochieng. Son of the late Michael Milanya and Rebecca Awange. Much adored grandfather to Charles, Joel and Rico. His siblings were the Late japuonj Festus Miyayi, Late Janet Magowi, Abraham Syamba, Olewe, the late Martin Odhiambo and the Late Prof. Benjamin Okech. Uncle, Cousin, Brother in law and a faithful friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting at Ngumo Nera House Number 25 on Friday 9th October at 5:30pm and on Sunday 11th October at 3pm.

There will be a fundraising and prayer service on Tuesday 13th October 2020 at the same venue at 5:30pm.

A church service to celebrate Walter’s life will be held on Thursday, 15th October 2020 at 12:00pm at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi. Walter will be laid to rest on Saturday, 17th October 2020 in Osieko Village, Yimbo West, Siaya County.

We will remember Walter most for his kind personality, calm demeanour, infectious smile and generous heart.
