Death and funeral announcement of Zacharia Gacheru Ngatia

We are announcing the death of Zacharia Gacheru Ngatia, formerly of Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporation which occurred on 9th February at Othaya Level 6 Hospital. He was born on 3rd August 1933 in Kiharo village, Iteme-ini Sub-location.

He was the son to the late Abijah Wanjugu and the late Pithon Ngatia. Gacheru was a brother to the late Naomi Wangari, the late Justus Wahome, the late Eliab Mwangi, the late Nora Wairimu, the late Simon Gitonga, the late Lotan Mbuthia,Apollo Muru, Jedida Wangui, and the late Loise Njoki. He was husband of Mary Wanuna and father to Lucy Wamuyu, Irungu Gacheru and Wanja, Catherine Wambui and Kisebu, Purity Naomi Wangari and Njuguna, Joyce Wangechi and Mahugu Kabi, Margaret Wairimu and Esther Wanjiku. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and three great-grand children.

Family and friends are meeting at his Kianganda home, Silent Lodge Othaya and All Saint’s Cathedral Nairobi from Wednesday — Saturday at 5.30pm.

Zacharia Gacheru Ngatia will be laid to rest on Monday 17th February 2020 at his Kihugiru home. The cortege leaves Kiria-ini Mission Hospital Mortuary at 8am. Church funeral service follows at ACK St. Luke’s Kihugiru.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
