DAVID KIMANI KONGO

It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of David Kimani Kongo on 5th of February, 2022 at the Nairobi Hospital after a long illness. He was an avid businessman, philanthropist and a friend to many.

He was son to the Late Johana Kongo Gitahi and Late Penina Wamandu Kongo. Husband to Nancy Wanjiku Kimani. Father to Peninah Nduta Kimani, Kongo Kimani and Ndiang’ui Kimani. Brother to the Late Hannah Wacuka Kongo, the Late Grace Waturi and Moses Kangethe, the Late Stephen Gitahi and Esther Wambui and Salton Remisiek.

Uncle to Mathew, Kongo, Captain Kang’ethe, Gitahi, Shiru (Boston USA), Paiyato, Kislet and Sinorei. Son-in-law to David Ndiang’ui Wambugu and the Late Esther Nyang’endo of Muthuaini, Nyeri.

Brother-in-law to the Late Gacheru Ndiang’ui, Wangombe, Wambui, Mwaniki. Ndung’u and Benjamin Ndiang’ui, Elizabeth Wanjohi and Peter Ndiang’ui.

The cortege leaves Lee funeral home on Thursday, 10th February, 202.2 at 5.30 AM for cremation at Kariokor Crematorium at 6.00 AM. The Interment service will be held the same day at his Dagoretti Mutuini village home (near the intersection of Karen – Dagoretti Market Road /Southern Bypass) starting at 11.30 AM.

Family and friends are meeting at St Andrews Church Hall every day from today Monday, the 7th to 9th Wednesday, February 2022 from 5 PM.
