DORCAS AMOLO KOTTONYA

1969 – 2021

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Dorcas Amolo Kottonya of Ferring Pharmaceuticals which occurred on 9th November, 2021, after a battle with cancer.

She was the loving wife to Tom Ang’ina Oyugi of Biyinzika Poultry International Ltd (Uganda) and a loving mother to Rosey Ayana (USA), Romanus Ang’ina (Light Academy), Sasha Awino (Riara Schools). She was the daughter of Mzee Judah Odhiambo Kottonya and Mama Rosebella Adoyo Kottonya of Kabuoch Kachieng’. Daughter-in-law to the late Mzee Simeon Oyugi and Mama Anastacia Oyugi of Kanyaluo, Kowuor Village. Sister to Victor & Brender Kottonya, Evelyn Kottonya, Cocker & Jacqueline Ochieng’, Mildred Kottonya and Jimmy Kottonya.

Sister-in-law to Meshack & Jedidah Owira, John & Winnie Owino, Danish & Irene Oyugi, Caroline Achieng, Duncan & Ivy Oyugi, Hezekiah & Awuori Oyugi, Judith Oyugi, and Susan Oyugi. Niece and Cousin to the Owinos, the Okeyos, Joka Biso, the Wanjaras, the Adukes, the Otienos, the Ndedas, and the Ndeges. Loving Auntie to Stacy, Wema, Hawi. Eddy, Nicole, Alvin, Teddy, Edwin, Lynette, Arthur, Albert, Evans, Levin, Vanessa, Glen, Tamara, Omondi, Junior, Nicole, Andrea, Damian, Ella, Zaria, Stacia, Ray, Samuel, Rose, Marlin, Adue, Valeria, Kimberly, Ashley, Arnold, Audrey, Maurice, Dalia, Jeremy, Natalie and Mya.

Friends and relatives are meeting at their family house in Muimara Estate, near Imara Daima at 6:00pm daily for funeral arrangements and fellowship. There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday 18th November 2021, at Nairobi Central SDA Church, at 2.00pm.

The cortège leaves Nairobi for home on Sunday. Burial will take place on Monday 22nd November, 2021 starting 8:00am, at Kanyaluo-Kowuor village in Homa Bay County.
