ELIJAH OGOTI MOIRONGO

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Elijah Ogoti Moirongo, which occurred on the 4th September, 2021 after three weeks’ illness in the ICU.

He is survived by his loving wife Anne Siyamo Joseph of KPLC and two children Jesse and Tabitha. Son of Charles Moirongo Seme and Tabitha Nyaera. Step son of Lucy Nyamoita. Son-in-law of the late Joseph Mkonyi and Mary Amina Mghenyi.

Brother of Grace, Norah, Prof. Bernard Otoki Moirongo of JKUAT, Josephine, Giswaya, Euniah, Lisper, George, apheth and Rose. He was brother-in-law of Sophy, Lynn, Jane, Apolly, Elijah, Ibrahim, Rita, Betty, Lucas, James (USA), Oriri and Evans among others.

Nephew of Nyaberi Seme, Nyanchera, Birisika, Nyaboke, Nemmuel, Alice, Obiko, Nelson, Hon. Naftal Mogere, the late Makori, the late Onchomba among others. Cousin of Hon. Justry Lumumba Nyaberi, James, Bosire, Esther, Okenye, Oirere, Caleb, and Nyakundi, among others. Uncle of Felix, Edinah, Vaneyck, Dr. Violet, Danvas, Tracy, Omori, Hayness, Nancy, among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Prof. Otoki’s house at Kahawa Sukari and at Gospel Centre International-Embakasi from 5pm to 7pm for planning and raising funds to offset a huge hospital bill and funeral expenses. Well-wishers may send their donations by Mpesa to 0721421545.

Fundraising is scheduled for Tuesday 14th September, 2021 at Gospel Centre International-Embakasi and Memorial service on Wednesday the 15th September at the same venue.

The cortege will leave KU Mortuary on Friday 17th September 2021 for burial on the same day at the Father’s home at Nyagesa Village, Nyangiti Location, Bobasii Constituency, Kisii County at 2pm. Note: COVID-19 protocols will be observed as per government Guidelines.
