With great sadness, we announce the promotion to glory of Esther Gachoga Mukindia on Friday 26th February, 2021.
She worked for the Ministry of Education in Meru, Embu and Mombasa. Retired to her own business and hobbies which saw her live in Zanzibar for a while. Was an active member of Makupa and later Giantune Catholic Church Meru.
Mama Esther, as she was known to many, was daughter of the late Josephat Mukindia and Sabina Ntibuka, wife of late Japhet Kithinji and daughter-in-law to the late Jonathan Mwiribua.
Mother to Nancy Karimi, Henry & Rose Kimathi, Lillian Kajuju, George & Carol Kinyua.
Sister to Joseph & Catherine Mwirigi, Harriet (Salome) Ngari, late Rita Mwendwa, Margaret & Kiambi, Luke & Sharon Kiogora, Gacheri & Marete, Kimathi (Ngutiku) & Damaris, Kathambi & Riungu, Mutai and Jane, late Mutwiri & Jane Karimi, Muriungi & Edith, Kirimi (Bundi) & Pauline, Julius Muthomi & Florence, Mutembei and Monica. Sister-in-law to Arthur & Lucy Mbaya.
Niece to Peter Mberia, late Jennifer Igoki, late Martha Mparu, late Elizabeth Kaari, late Agnes Nchura, Samuel Ikunyua, Justus Mwebia and step-daughter to late Sarah Karuru Mukindia.
Grandmother to Kevin, Magdalene, Nicholas, Tevin, Lisa, Trevor, Moses, Smith, Koki & Fabian. Great grandmother to Andrew.
Funeral Mass and burial is scheduled for 12th March, 2021 at Giantune, Kiamiriru sub location, Mpuri location Meru County (about 2kms from Meru Makutano).
