FRANCIS WERU MWANIKI
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Francis Weru Mwaniki on 17th March 2023, after a long illness bravely borne. He was assistant lecturer at The Technical University of Mombasa (TUM).
Husband to the late Teresia Nyakinyua. Father to Michael Mwaniki, Simon Munyeki and Mary Wanjiku. Father-in-law to Diana Mwaniki and Lydia Munyeki. Grandfather to Ethan Weru, Liam Mungai, Nathaniel Weru and Nixon Njihia.
Son to the late Mwaniki Weru and Wanjiku Mwaniki of Kaiyaba Village, Ngandu, Karatina. Son-in-law to the late Francis Munyeki and Cecilia Munyeki of Endarasha, Kieni.
A brother to Joseph Mathenge, Jecinta Wandia, Elizabeth Ngima, Gladys Muthoni, Sr. Esther Ngima.
Brother-in-law to Ann Waceke, Elphaz Gichobi, Daniel Gachure, Solomon and Rachael Mwangi, Peter And Nancy Kimwere. He was a beloved cousin, uncle, grandfather, friend, and colleague to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily from 3.00pm at his home in Donholm Phase 5G, Hse. for prayers and funeral arrangements.
There will be a requiem mass held on Wednesday, 22nd March at 4.30pm at St. Andrews Edelvale Catholic Church in Jacaranda.
Burial date is Friday, 24th March 2023. The cortege will depart KU Funeral Home at 7.00am, for the church service at Ngandu Catholic Parish (Next to Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School) Karatina, Nyeri County, from 10.00am. Thereafter, procession to final resting place and interment ceremony at the family home in Kaiyaba Village.
