It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Monicah Wangeci Gatere.

Wife to the late Gatere Kimano.

Beloved daughter to the late Maranga Kiai and the late Mumbi Ichangai. Loving sister to Charity Wanjugu, the late Kiai Maranga, Rahab Nyawira, the late Ichangai Maranga and Esther Wanjiru.

Daughter-in-law to the late Kimano Gatere and the late Nyawira Ngunyi. Sister-in-law to the late James Gatere, the late Wangui Wanjau, the late Robert Ngunyi, the late Hellen Wangui, the late Njura Kimano, the late David Muya and the late John Kamundia.

Loving mother to the late Mary Nyawira and the late Robert Ngandu, Hannah Muthoni. the late Wachira Gatere, Charles Maina and the late Jecinta Maina, Simon and Lucy Ngunyi, Hellen and John Gichuki, Mercy and the late David Mwaniki, Anne and John Muthui, Peter and Gladys Kariuki and the late Margaret Waguthi. Grandmother and great grandmother to many.

Family and Friends are meeting daily at her home in Kiawaithanii Village from 4.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan) on Friday, 24t6 March 2023 at 9.00am. There will be a funeral service at Kiawaithanii Catholic Church on the same day starting from 11am followed by interment at her farm in Kiawaithanii Village.

Mwari wa Maranga, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race and you have kept the faith. We thank God for the many years we shared with you.
