GEORGE NDUNGU MBIRIRI

We thank God as we celebrate the life of Mr George Ndung’u Mbiriri, formerly of World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) who went to be with the Lord on 25th February 2021 after a short illness bravely borne.

Beloved husband of Jane Kahithe Ndung’u, Head of A.P.C.U, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries & Co-Operatives. Father of Ruth Wangechi, Sammy Wambugu (Savannah Cement) and Edward Wairugu.

Brother of the late Muthoni Gitonga, Grace Ngambi, the late Daniel Ndiritu, Ngunju Wanjuki, Rose Ndumia, Phobe Nyaguthii, Wamucii Gitahi, Muthui Wambugu, Rachel Mwangi and the late Wangeci Wandeto. Brother in law to Gitonga Nguyo, Ann Waigumo Ndiritu, Gitahi Munyua, Serah Muthui, Wandeto Mumbui & Mwagi Mwara. Son in law of the late Josphat Wairugu Gachanja & the late Catherine Wanjiru Wairugu, of Wanjengi, Muranga. He was a dad, uncle, grandfather & great-grandpa to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at their homes in Landless (Happy Valley Estate, Riverside Drive) Thika at 6.30pm and at Kiamutiga village, Tetu, Nyeri.

There shall be a memorial service on Wednesday 3rd March 2021, 2.00pm at CCI WellSprings Church off Thika-Garissa highway.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home (Kabati) on Friday 5th March 2021 at 7:30 a.m. for the funeral service at 11a.m.Tetu Sub-county, Nyeri County.
