GERTRUDE MUMBUA MUTANGILI

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved matriarch, Gertrude Mumbua Mutangili which occurred on 25th February 2021.

Daughter of the late Silas Kathuku and the late Phillomena Kathuku. Beloved wife to David Mutangili. Devoted mother to the late Stellamaris Wamaitha, Felista Nduku, Jacinta Mwikali, Christopher Muthoka and Emmanuel Mwatu. Adoring grandmother to Melisa Nthenya, Michelle Mumbua, Terry Mumbua, the late Faith Warui, Natasha Mumbua, Trevor Kimani, Davian Muthoka and Isabella Mwende. Great grandmother to Zaria Nyambura.

Mother-in-law to Christine Wanyaga Mwatu. Sister to the late Vincent Mulandi, the late Paul Mutisya, the late Francis Kivindyo, the late Dr. Dammas Musau, the late Peter Mwema and the late Mary Katee. Sister-in-law to Annah Wandulu, Annah Kaveti, Sophia & the late Joseph Kyengo, Benedetti & John Mulinge, Patrick & Elena Nzuve and Redempta & Peter MuIwa, Loise Mulandi, Ruth Mutisya, Prisca Kathuku, cousin and aunty to many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Machakos for Holy Mass and burial at her home in Kwa Ndeke Village, Kilome Sub-county, Makueni County on Saturday 6th March 2021.

In God’s hand you rest. You may be gone from our sight but will forever remain in our hearts.
