HON. ENG. AMB. ANDREW CHEPKOIYWA KIPTOON EGH, MP

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Hon.Eng Amb. Andrew Chepkoiywa Kiptoon, which occurred on 2nd October, 2021, after a long illness. He served as Minister for Roads and Public Works;Trade and Industry; Cooperatives and Assistant Minister for Education. He was Member of Parliament Baringo North between 1997-2002.

Son of the late Daniel Kiptoon and the late Hannah Kiptoon. Son-in-law to the late Abraham Minig’wo and the late Loice Minig’wo of Barwesa, Baringo County. Husband to Mrs Elima Siokwei Kiptoon.

Loving father of Caroline Kiptanui (KPC Nairobi), Gladwell Naegu (Romania), Gilbert Kiptoon, Nathan Kevin Kiptum, Collins Kiptallam, James, Sylvia, Bill, Eliora and Janet. Father-in-law to Tom Kiptanui (RBA), Cristian Naegu (Romania) and Janet Karanja. Grandfather to Ken, Yatich, Tergat, Jelel, Jeptum and Kwame, among others.

Brother to Mrs. Rebecca Kimetto, Prof. Japheth Kiptoon, Joshua Kiptoon, Arch. William Kiptoon and Dr. Paul Kiptoon. Brother-in-law to the late Dinah, the late Ruth, Richard, Solomon, Susan, the late David, Miriam, Sylus, Zipporah and the late Kipchumba; the late Kimetto, Alice, the late Rhoda, Christine and Pauline.

Family and Friends are meeting daily for arrangements at home Kaptere-Baringo, Bontana Hotel – Nakuru and All Saints Cathedral Nairobi from 5.00pm.

There will be a fundraising to offset hospital and funeral expenses in Nairobi on 7th October, 2021, at All Saints Cathedral; Nakuru in Bontana Hotel, on Friday 8th October, 2021 and at Home all starting at 5.00pm. Mpesa Pay-bill to assist with funeral expenses: (247247), Account: (495000).

The cortege leaves War Memorial Hospital Mortuary – Nakuru, on Monday 11th October, 2021, at 6.00am, for burial at home Kaptere, Baringo North, Baringo County.
