HON. TIRAS NYINGI NGAHU

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Hon. Tiras Nyingi Ngahu on Saturday, 12th February, 2022 at AAR Hospital – Kiambu Road.

Senior Director, Election and Membership Jubilee Party, Former Member of Parliament Kangema Constituency, Founder and Director Mount Kenya Food Industries Limited, Founder Prime Mover Insurance Brokers, Past Director Insurance Institute of Kenya ( AIIK), Chairman Githiga Investments, and Patron Kangema Unity.

The beloved Husband of Lydiah Njoki Nyingi (Prime Mover Insurance Brokers). Doting daddy to Stacy Camilla Wambui and Lesley Maslin Njeri Nyingi (Rosslyn Academy). Son of the late Enos Ngahu Nyingi and Jecinta Wambui Ngahu of Githiga Village Kangema Constituency.

Brother to Engineer Solomon Muritu (Numerical Machines) and Mary Wacuka, Stephen Chege (Mount Kenya Food Industries), Kimani Ngahu (Min Max Insurance) and Esther Muthoni, Late Charles Kibui, Stanley Njuguna, Benson Kamau (TN International), and Esther Syonau, Susan Nduta (Githiga Polytechnic), Patrick Wakahiu (Prime Mover) and Margaret Wambui.

Brother-in-law to the late Kennedy Maguta, Esther Maguta (Director Little’s Lounge), Cecilia Maguta (Kaplan and Stratton Advocates),Winfred Njeri (Kianjiru’ini Primary School), Elizabetha Waithera (Makuyu Boys High School), and Peter Gacheru, Anne Wairimu (Machegecha Primary School) and Ephantus Ngethe. He was an uncle to the Ngahus, Wambuis, Magutas, and others, and a cousin to many.

Prayers and burial preparations are being held at 5.30pm daily at St. Andrews PCEA Church (off Nyerere Road), his Muthaiga North home residence, his ancestral home Githiga Kangema, and his home at Tuthu Kangema.

Mheshimiwa will be laid to rest at his Tuthu farm. The requiem mass and burial date will be communicated at a later date.
