HONORABLE GIDEON SAUL KAVUU

It is with profound sadness that the Maendeleo Chap Chap Party mourns the passing on of Honorable Gideon Saul Kavuu, a respected and dedicated representative member of Mumbuni North Ward in Machakos County under Maendeleo Chap Chap Party.

Hon. Kavuu was a second term MCA having served in the first Assembly as the Deputy Majority Whip and in the Third Assembly as the Deputy Minority Whip. Hon. Kavuu will be remembered for his dedication and devotion in serving the people of Machakos County more so the electorates of Mumbuni North that he represented in the Assembly since August 2022. Hon. Kavuu’s journey in public service was marked by his dedication and commitment to the people of our community. As a second-time MCA and a former Councilor, his legacy of service is one that has left an indelible mark on our region. Until his demise, Hon. Kavuu was a member of the Labour, Public Service and ICT committee, Culture and Tourism committee as well as the committee on Implementation.

During his first term of service, Mheshimiwa served in the following committees; Ward Development Fund, Education and Vocational Training, Justice and Legal Affairs and Trade and Planning.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Machakos on Saturday 2nd September, 2023 proceeding to his Home in Mungala Village in Mumbuni North for a burial service.
