PATRIARCH JAMES KARIUKI KIRUNDI JAMES BOND 007

1939 – 2023

It is with a heavy heart we the children and family announce the sudden passing of our patriach James Kariuki Kirundi fondly known as James Bond 007 (formerly of Bata Shoe Company, Meru and Maua), on the 26th of August 2023 in Nairobi.

Son to the late Njeri and Kirundi of Aguthi, Nyeri.

Loving husband to the late Lydiah Nyaguthii Kariuki (formerly of Meru Law Courts). Dearest papa to Njeri, Muthoni (formerly of Nation Media group), Kirundi, Wanjiru, Mathenge (MKC Garage and Tuatara Accommodations, Nairobi), Kabui Kahiuhiu (The grind Group) and Macharia. Doting grandfather to Daisy, Junior, the late Kiki, Dr Robyn, Els, Nyaguthii, Kendrick, Malachi, Kariuki and Wangui. Cherished great grandfather to Roy.

Father-in-law to Gerald Muriuki and Beatrice Mathenge.

Brother to the late Wagichira, the late Wanjiru, the late Kabui, the late Waigwa and his only surviving sister, Njoki. Adoring uncle to many.

The cortege leaves St Mary’s Hospital morgue in Langata, Nairobi on 1st September 2023 at 8.00am for a requiem mass at Apostles of Jesus Shrine Catholic church, Karen at 10.00am and later proceed to Langata Cemetery for burial.

We loved you dearly papa but God loved you more. Fare thee well dad, forever in our hearts.
