JANET JACQUELINE WANGARI GACHUKI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Janet Jacqueline Wangari Gachuki, the director and proprietor of Double Jay’s Kitchen, which occurred on 10th October 2021, after a short illness.

She was the daughter of the late Jackson Gachuki Mwangi and VVaigumo Gachuki of 01 Kalou, Nyandarua County. Grand-daughter to Bernice Wangari and the late James Mwangi Gichigi of Nyandarua county and the late Charity Wangari and the late Shadrack Gichuhi Baru of Nyeri County. Loving mother to Nelene Wanjiku Maina of Mutira Girls High School, Kirinyaga county.

Beloved sister to Charity Wangari and Boniface Kahuho, James Mwangi and Evelyn Chepkorir and twin to Godwin Gichuhi. Doting aunty to Melissa Kahuho, Jermaine Kahuho, Kelcy Mwangi, Nicole Mwangi, Liana Mwangi, Imani Wanjiku, David Taji Kamau, Claire Wanjiku, Anita Wanjiku and Alicia Wanjiru. Loving niece, cousin and grand-daughter to many.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home (Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, bypass) at 7am on Friday; 15th October 2021. Burial will take place at their Ol Kalou farm, Mahua-ini village, Kaibaga location, Nyandarua County.

Family & friends are meeting daily at Roasters Inn — (The Luke Hotel), off Thika Road, starting at 5:00pm.

All covid-19 protocols will be observed and the funeral service will be streamed live.
