JONAH KIPLAGAT WENDOT

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on to glory of Jonah Wendot on Monday 26th October 2020 after a short illness. Jonah was an employee of the Ministry of ICT & Youthof Affairs. He formerly served in the Presidential Press Unit (PPU).

Son of the late Paul Wendot Tuitoek and Alice Wendot. Loving husband to Susan Wendot. Father toNicholas Wendot, Daniel Wendot, David Wendot and Mercy Wendot and grandfather to NatashaWanjiru Wendot. He was son-in-law to the late Peter Kangogo Chebii and Sarah Kobilo Chebii. Brother to Rebecca, Dinah, Rael, Hanna, Eng. Hosea (CEO, Central Rift Valley Water Dev.) and Rodah. Brother-in-law to Daniel Chebii, Peter Njoroge, Hon. William Cheptumo, Josphat Sirma and Betty Wendot, the late Joel Kangogo, Esther Kangogo, the late Lucy Kiptoon, Dinah Kurui, the late Phyllis Kiprop, Ruth Kangogo, Salina Mwangale, Patricia Kangogo and Eunice Gacugia. Lemeny to Kenneth Kiptoon, Paul Kurui, and Enos Mwangale, David Bargoria and Dr Stephen Gacugia. Uncle to Norah, N’gendo, Anthony, Limo, Chemn’ge and many others. Cousin to Dr. Ezekiel Koimett and Mrs Esther Koimett, PS State Dept of Broadcasting & Telecommunications, and the Koimett family, the Longole family and the Tumo family.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home at Mihuti court for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There shall be a fundraising on Wednesday 4th November 2020 at All Saints Cathedral from 5pm. Contributions may be sent to Paybill Number 4003463.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday 5th November 2020 at AIC Plainsview from 2pm.

Burial will take place at his home in Koitebes, Mogotio Constituency, Baringo County on Friday, 6th  November, 2020.
