MAMA CECILIA ADHIAMBO JOSIAH

It’s with profound shock and with humble acceptance of God’s will that we regret to announce the sudden death of Mama Cecilia Adhiambo Josiah, at the Matibabu Hospital – Ukwala, on the 14th of October, 2021, after a short illness.

Beloved wife to the late Lzekiel Othieno Josiah of Nyaluoyo village, Karadolo Sub-location, Ugenya Constituency, Siaya County. Co-wife to Alicia Apondi Josiah and Martha Adhiambo Josiah. Loving mother to Peter Odhiambo Josiah, Richard Okoth Josiah, the late Pamela Adhiambo Musyoki and Patrick Ogolla Josiah. Mother-in-law to Alice Adhiambo, Beatrice Hongo, Anthony Musyoki and Aubrey Cainag, among others.

Daughter of the late Ex. Major Mzee Johannes Oloo Adere and Mama Anna Achieng Oloo of Siwoho village, Ukwala. Step-daughter to the late Mama Agnes Anyango Oloo, Daughter-in-law to the late Mzee Josiah Ogola and the late Leah Omuok. Doting grandmother to Eurallia, Azania, Jabali, Baraka, Christine, Micheal, Zoe, Denzel, amongst others. Sister to Tom Adere, the late Hellena Opondo, Cornelia Chumba, the late Teresa, Banda, Benedict Oloo, the late Fred. Oloo, the late Elias Oloo, Camlus Oloo, Vincent Oloo, Beatrice Oloo, Milicent Oloo, Moses Oloo, David Oloo, Rita Oloo, Martha Oloo and Eric Oloo.

Niece of the late Ouma Adere, the late Nyajer Oloo, the late Pius Odhiambo, the late Marcus Owino, Rev. Sister Ignatius Ogada (FSJ), Julius Omija, Micheal Apoda and Patricia Olotch, among others. Sister-in-law to Samuel Onyango Josiah, Simeon Josiah, Thomas Josiah, Zachary Josiah, Anne Josiah, Zaddock Josiah, the late Adriano Opondo, the late James Chumba, Mrs. Penis Adere, Mrs. Marianne Opondo, the late Jane Otengo and Judith Okoth, Seline Omondi, Caroline Otieno, Caroline Onyango and Pamela Owuor. Aunt and cousin to many.

The cortege leaves the Same Day Classmates Funeral Home, Sega, on Saturday 23rd October, 2021 at 7.00am, for a funeral service at the St. Peters ACK – Nyaluoyo Church. The burial will later be held at her home in Nyaluoyo.
