With profound sorrow, we announce the untimely death of Mama Jane Bosibori Arita Omwenga, which occurred on 15th September, 2021, in Nairobi, Kenya.

Wife of Mboga Mageka Omwenga. Mother of Margaret Kwamboka Omwenga (USA), Christine Moraa Omwenga, Machoka Rasugu Omwenga, Thomas Wesley Brooks Omwenga (USA), and Dr. Dominique Walton Brooks (USA). Grandmother of Joshua Omwenga Walton Brooks (USA) and Kendall Kemunto Walton Brooks (USA). Daughter of the late Wilson Machoka Arita and the late Lydiah Nyakorangi Obare Machoka. Step-daughter of the late Abigael Manoti Machoka. Daughter-in-law of the late Omwenga Ayiera, the late Miriam Kemunto, the late Kerubo, the late Bonareri and Saringi.

Sister of the late Nyang’au, Hudson, Mokua. Step-sister of the late John, the late Saul, Jerusha, the late Rebecca, and the late Erastus Machoka among others. Sister-in-law of Momanyi, the late Teresiah Gesare, the late Trufena Moraa, the late Monyoncho, Florence, Nyamwaro, Nyangau, the late Masara, Agnes Barongo among others and cousin to Henderson Magare, Kibangendi, among others. Aunty of Professor Eddy Mosoti, Dr. Nyamwancha, Rose, John, Esther, Dennis, Betty, Onderi, the late Alex Mokua, Osugo, Orenge and many others. Niece of Atisa, Bwari, Kiriama, among others.

The cortege left Chiromo Mortuary on Thursday, 7th October, 2021. The Funeral will be on Friday, 8th October, 2021, in Nyakongo Village, Manga Sub-county, Nyamira County.
