It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mama Jenipher Ong’udi Sombe, which occurred on 20th September, 2021.

Daughter to the late Mzee Ogot Okoth and the late Mama Maria Oguto. Sister to the late Odima Ogot, the late Josephat Adongo Ogot, the late Nyatieno, Perez Osiemo, the late Benjamin, the late Jeconia, the late Oguma, Dr. Okello, Peter Opiyo, Josiah Odek, Reuben, George Ogwang’, amongst others. Wife to the late Mzee Pitalis Sombe Mado. Co-wife to the late Rosebella Ajwang’, the late Maritha Akello, the late Wilkister Aoko and the late Elsa Owino. Daughter-in- law of the late Deborah Nyaber.

Mother to Moses Odero Tsombe, Mary Akinyi, Samuel Magak, the late Zaddock Obillo, and Elijah Otieno Tsombe. Also mother to the late Josiah Mbare, the late George Okumu, James Oguk, Daniel Muma, Harrison Milanya, Rhoda Atieno, the late Odare, the late William Otieno, Hellen Anyango, the late Thomas Odhiambo, Benta Ochiel, the late Beatrice Atieno, Joshua Okumu, Grace Anyango, the late Ulda, Judith Auma, the late Mama Jenipher Adhiambo, the late Adek, Naomi, Chief James Ouma Oindi, Akoth, Akinyi, Samuel Otieno, Charles Ochieng’, Dennis Oindi, amongst Ong’udi Sombe others.

Mother-in-law to Florence Carren Akeyo Tsombe, Irene Magak, Elizabeth Obilo, Jane Elijah, the late Pius Oremo, Pamela Oguk, Leonida Okumu amongst others. Grandmother co Beatrice, Beryl, Peter, Henry, Elizabeth, Francis, Alice, jecinta, Jane, Damakline, Pesila, Jane, Maina, Pastor,Flavian, Glenn, Aaron. Great grandmother to Elvis, Yvonne, Blessings, Taii, Jelani, Amari, Alina, Omondi, Franco, Faith, Davis, Lenock, the late Andrew, Branox, and Hellen.

She will be laid to rest on Sunday, 10th October, 2021, at her home in Them Nyamariany, Kojwach Kamioro, Homabay County. All are requested to observe the Covid-19 rules and regulations as stipulated by the MoH.
