MILKA SARINGI OKEMWA

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Milka Saringi Okemwa which occurred on 28/02/2021; following a short illness that was bravely fought.

Daughter of Haron Okemwa Okong’o and Irene Nyakerario Okemwa (Migori). Beloved wife to Steve Obare (Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital). Mother to Naomi Kemunto, Brown Nyauma, Ryanmoses Ndubi and Marion Moraa. Daughter-in-law to Livingstone Mose Obare and Teresiah Gechemba Mose of lriba Village, Bokurati I Sublocation, Ekerenyo Location, Nyamira County. Sister to Jaspher Arasa, Fred Machoka (Migori), Tabitha Nyamari, Bob Ongaga (Mombasa), Dorca Nyoseba, Lister Nyaboke (Nairobi). Sister in-law to Edna Arasa, Violet Machoka (Migori), Kefa Omoti, Vincent Ogwankwa, Lucy Moraa Richard Isoe and Abel Mosigisi. Aunt to Moraa (Kitale), Alice Nyanduko (Nyamira), late Tabitha and late Isabella, Rebecca Okong’o, Penina Obwocha, Eunice Masioge (Nairobi), Monica Obonyo (USA), Gladys Ngoko (Mombasa).

Friends, relatives and colleagues are meeting daily at their Kasarani residence and also at Garden Squire Nairobi for prayers and burial arrangements.

There will be a main fundraising on Thursday 04/03/2021 at the Professional Centre (Nairobi) to be followed by another one in Kasarani on Sunday 07/03/2021.

The cortege leaves MP Shah Hospital on 08/03/2021 for a night vigil at their Ekerenyo home. The burial will be on 09/03/2021.
