MZEE JOSEPH ODERO GOK

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the death of Mzee Joseph Odero Gok, fondly referred to as Hotuba, which occurred on the 6th December, 2020 at the Avenue Hospital Kisumu after a short illness.

Husband of Salina Aloo Odero. Father of Vincent Odoyo (Gsk Nairobi), Fredrick Okello (EADB Kampala), George Oluoch (KIWASCO- Kisumu), Erick Omondi (Kenya Power- Nakuru), Alphonse Osire (GPP Consultants- Nairobi), Godfrey Otieno and Felix Odhiambo- Kericho West TTC. Father in law of Susan Akoth, Mediatrix Awuor Tuju, Roselyne Onyango (Universal corporation-Nairobi), Lilian Wasonga Ojee, Evalyne Anyango Okoth, Ruth Atego (Turkana County Government), Celine Awindo.

Grandfather of Laurene, Derrick, Grant, Ronn, Merab, Ryant, Darrel, Cheryl, Mercy, Jenny, Tricia, Kieran, Arianne, Dylan, Ivy, Hillard, the late Liam, Brooklyne, Celine, Gerald, Grace, Mark, Lavigne, Shantelle, Yvonne and Edrin. Son of the late Gok Olwaga and the late Pricilla Gok. Brother of Martha Gok, the late Consolata Adhiambo, the late John Oginga, the late Mary Achieng’. Cousin of the late Lucas Auma Agan, the late Joseph Kai Agan, Rev Zacharia Wayiera, Alex Otieno Achila, Otieno Kai and others.

Son-in-law of the late Alex Onyondo and the late Gaudensia Aomo. Brother-in-law of Martin & Syprose Onyango, the late Patrick& Lydia Omondi, the late Sylvan & the late Alice Menya, Rt. Major Leo & Hulda Omolo, Fanuel Otiende, Assistant Chief Michael Abongo and others. Nyawana of Elly & Anjeline Ogutu, the late William & Precila Tuju, Dismas & Jane Onyango, the late Melitus & Mary Oiee, Domnic & the late Pamela Okoth, Fanuel & Josephine Atego, Edwin & the late Janet Omwandu.

The cortege leaves Avenue Hospital Kisumu on Friday 18th December, 2020 for a requiem mass at Nyabondo Catholic church, Nyakach. Burial will be on 19th December, 2020 at his home in Kamgan Nyakach Sub-county, Kisumu County.
