It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Kiptarus arap Ngelechei of Kipchawat, Kimoning and Tugen Estate in Uasin Gishu County.

Son of the late Kibet Kipkendur (Karanduk) and the late Tapkigen Sanieko. Step son of the late Taplilei (Kop Jepkoech). Son in law of Kap Nasero, Kap Chemoiywo and Kap Baluk.

Brother of the late Arap Serser, the late Arap Bett, the late Obot Jepkoech and the late Arap Samoei.

Husband of Salome Kimoi, Sarah Toiyoi and Teresa Sote.

Father of Brigid, Philip, Samson, Maina, Late Jepkogei, Magdalene, Jennifer, Dominic, Edna, Wilfred, Vitalis (Egerton), Dr Ken Tarus (former MD KPLC), Monica, Mark, Jeruto, Alex, Perk, Jemaiyo, Benard (KPC), Dr Hillary (WIOCC), Phylis, Kipkorir, Kipkurui, Jelimo, Jebet, Gethrude, Kirwa, Kiprono , Jepkorir, Kipchirchir (Signon), Jeptoo and Kipruto.

Grandfather of Purity (Air Kenya), Patrick (Kitale Polytechnic), Kiprop (Egerton) among others. Great grandfather to many.

Nephew of Kapchesurut, Kinigas, Chepalei, Wiskabets and others of Saniak clan.

Maternal cousin of Arap Saina of Kamunai of Ziwa and the Kapnango’s of Kabenes farm.

The cortege leaves MTRH Farewell Home on Friday 1st January 2021 at 9am for a requiem mass at his home in Tugen Estate at 10am thereafter proceed to his home in Kimoning at 1pm and finally for an overnight vigil at his home in Kipchawat.

Burial will take place on Saturday 2nd 2021 at his home in Kipchawat, Elgeyo Border, Plot 60, Uasin Gishu County starting from 9am.
