PHILISTER APIYO KEYA

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of Philister Apiyo Keya on 11th October 2020 at Siaya County Referral Hospital.

Philister was the beloved daughter to the late Mama Consolata Achieng and the late Phillip Olendo. She was the wife of the late Adrian() Keya Otoyo. Sister to the late Thomas, the late Athanas Akumu, Hanyore, Marita, Juma, the late Kungu, the late Linus, the Late Okwako, the late Hela, the late Owich, Asiage,Andedo and Onyimbo among others. She was the mother to Lucas Odipo, the late Vitalis Juma Keya, the late Florence Apondi, the late Mary Alice Anyango, Joan Auma (Bolo Girls), Seline Awuor, the late Beatrice Agutu and Mark Keya (Department of Children Services). Mother in Law to Mary Odipo, Rose Juma, the late George Ogolla (Ambira), the late Michael Osore (Masat), the late Thomas Omondi Were (Konya), Christopher Akello (Retired Commissioner of Police), the late Peter Oduor (Kamalunga) and Mary Aloo (Ministry of Health Kasipul Kabondo). At the time of her death, Philister had 45 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

Burial will take place at her home on Saturday 24th October 2020 at Sigweng Karuoth, Ukwala in Siaya County.
