SIMON NDUNG’U MBUGUA

24th December, 1943 – 5th January, 2021

It is with deep sorrow and a humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Simon Ndung’u Mbugua of Maai-Mahiu and Kiambu on the 5th of January 2021 at Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.

Son of the late Booker Mbugua Githegi and the late Mary Njeri Gacheru (Gakiia).

Husband of Teresa Wambui and the late Wangari wa Kigathi.

Brother of the late Samuel Githegi Mbugua, the late David Gacheru, the late James Ngaruiya, the late Jane Wanjiru,Allan Njoroge (Phoenicia Hotel, Mushroom Road Kiambu), Geoffrey Kariuki (Geoff Refrigeration Services) and the late Patrick Kamau.

Father of Njeri, the late Booker Mbugua, Nduta (USA), Mungai (Dancom Engineering Services), Samuel Githegi and Edward Gathogo. A loving uncle to many nephews and nieces across the globe. A grandfather and a great-grandfather to many, many children.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Mbagathi Way, on Wednesday 13th January 2021 at 9.00am and proceed to PCEA Rungiri Church, Recreation Grounds for the funeral service at 10.30am.

The interment will be held at his Gitaru home, Kabete Sub-county, Kiambu County.

This will be a close family affair in view of the space available at the graveside.
