VIRGINIA GACUNKU KAUNGI

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Virginia Gacunku Kaungi of Kinoru, Meru on the 13th of February 2021 after a short illness bravely fought at Coptic Hospital, Nairobi.

Virginia was the loving wife to Yusuf Macharia Juma and a loving mother to Salim Gitonga Juma and Farida Nkatha Yusuf. She was the daughter of Jeremy Kaunge and Nancy Mwimbi and a sister to Japheth Micheni, John Peter Mugendi, Hellen Igoji and Felicity Kawira. She was a daughter-in-law to the late Juma Kiengo and Zainabu Njeri. Sister-in-law to Fatuma Anduru and Ibrahim Mairanyi. She was a cherished colleague to many at The German School where she worked as an Accountant for over 10 years. Virginia was a beloved friend, in-law, cousin, auntie, grandmother & Auntie-Cucu to many. She will be dearly missed.

Friends and relatives are meeting on Tuesday 16th February and Wednesday 17th February at All Saints Cathedral on Kenyatta Avenue and from Tuesday 16th February to Thursday 18th February 2021 at the family home in Kamulu from 5 pm.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home on Friday 19th February 2021 and the funeral service and burial will take place at the family home in Kamulu on the same day.
