Son of the late Gongera Chute and the late Miriam Moraa. Husband of Martha Kwamboka Gongera. Son-in-law of Philip Gekonde and the late Dinah Bonareri. Brother of the late Nyagechanga, the late Motabori and the late Manger-a. Cousin of the late Nyaboke, the late Bosibori, the late Mongina, Onyancha, the late Samwel, the late Ndege, the late Obure, Moraa, Machuki, Keng’ara and Nyangw’ara. Father of Simon, Elder Joshua, Euniah, the late Absolom, Pastor Naphtal, His Excellency Doctor Joash Maangi the Deputy Governor Kisii County, Rachel of the Ministry of Internal Security, Eucabeth and Philip Teacher St Don Bosco Boys Mogonga.

Father-in law of Teresa, Gesare, the late Everline, Mary, Stella, Rose, Maera and Motari. Brother-in-law of the late Nyabairo, the late Penina, the late Samwel, the late Nyakiage, Miriam and the late Milka. Korera of the late Ogendi, late Ochoki, the late Nyasani, Guto, the late Gichana, the late Kerubo Nyamaiyeria, the late Ombati, Ombeta and Annah. Uncle of Keroro, Nyang’au, Kemunto, James, Onchiri, Monchari, Barnabbas, Atisa, Jason, Bladina, Norah, Grace, Yabesh, Doctor Beatrice, Violet, Loice, Nathan, Hellen, Richard, Hellen Nyamondo, Doctor Nyaanga, Josephine, Jackline, Philip, Beatrice, Dinah, Judy, Justine, Doctor Gladys, Samson and Eliud. Grandfather and great-grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Riagongera village, Nyaisero Sub-location, Sengera location, Bomachoge Chache Constituency, Kisii county for prayers and burial arrangements.

He will be laid to rest on Monday 01/02/2021 at his home Riagongera village.
