MWALIMU SIMON KARIUKI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mwalimu Simon Kariuki of Subukia National Marian Shrine on 8th of October 2021.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Wanjiru; sons Patrick Kariuki, Fr. Zack Mutugi (Consolata Missionaries), Nicholas Mbugua, and Fr Jude Mwangi (Parish Priest St. Antony of Padua Parish DCK); daughters Catherine Wangu and Sr Josephine Njeri (Companion Sisters-Nyeri); grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Pope Benedict XVI Mortuary, Nyahururu on Wednesday, 13th October 2021 at 9.00am.The funeral Mass will be at St. John Catholic Church — Subukia at 11.00am, thereafter he will be laid to rest at his home in Mihango farm.

Rest in peace Mwalimu, for Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life; Anyone who believes in me, even though he dies, he will live!” (John 11:25)
